Join us for End the Epidemic 2020 Virtual Listening Sessions!

In 2019, End the Epidemic LA – a joint outreach effort led by La. AG Jeff Landry’s office and the Louisiana Rural Ambulance Alliance – led a series of rural community listening sessions for practitioners and community leaders working to combat the opioid epidemic in Louisiana. Since that time, End the Epidemic LA has used the honest perspectives and support gathered from participants to

·  Foster and strengthen vital community relationships between rural service providers, EMS personnel, non-profit stakeholders, and others with lived experience

·  Secure beneficial federal support earmarked specifically to combat the opioid epidemic in Louisiana’s rural communities

·  Develop comprehensive work plans that target the unique needs of rural La. communities while compiling resources to address them

In the face of compounding challenges from the COVID-19 pandemic, End the Epidemic LA seeks to better understand and meet the unique needs of Louisiana’s rural communities as they continue their work in addiction prevention, recovery, and advocacy services. To this end, ETELA invites addiction services practitioners, community leaders, educators, first responders, and other motivated stakeholders dealing with the impact of the opioid epidemic to join us for our 2020 Virtual Listening Sessions. Through guided discussions, participants will be able to discuss specific challenges they are facing during COVID-19 all while sharing helpful resources and forging beneficial partnerships with others in a safe, supportive online environment.
